How often should you come in?
Most patients do best with a checkup and cleaning every six months — that's often enough to catch problems early without becoming a hassle. Some patients with a history of gum disease or cavities may benefit from more frequent visits, which we'll discuss with you directly if it applies.
Covered 100% under our membership plan: if you don't have insurance, our membership plan includes two exams and two cleanings a year, plus X-rays and fluoride, at no additional cost beyond the annual membership fee.

How long does a routine exam and cleaning take?
Most routine visits take about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on whether X-rays are needed and how much buildup there is to clean.
Do I need X-rays every visit?
No — we only take X-rays as often as clinically needed, typically once a year for most patients, to check for decay or issues that aren't visible during a regular exam.
Is a cleaning painful?
For most patients, no. If you have sensitive teeth or gums, let us know beforehand — we can adjust our approach to keep you comfortable.
At what age should kids start coming in?
The general guidance is by their first birthday or within six months of their first tooth coming in — but if your child hasn't been seen yet and is older than that, it's never too late to start.
Does insurance cover exams and cleanings?
Most dental insurance plans cover routine exams and cleanings at little to no out-of-pocket cost. If you don't have insurance, our membership plan covers two exams and two cleanings a year at 100%.
